Where to sail in Turkey
The Turkish Riviera is the easiest place for a first week under sail: bases in Marmaris, Fethiye, Göcek and Bodrum, daily legs of 10–25 miles, and dozens of sheltered coves in the Hisarönü and Fethiye gulfs where you spend the night at anchor or on a restaurant pontoon. Summer wind is an afternoon westerly sea breeze of 12–20 knots; storm closures are rare. The season is long, April to November; October is still warm and noticeably cheaper than summer. A transit log and a refundable deposit are added to the boat price at the base.

When is the best time to charter a yacht in Turkey?
Turkey has a long season, April to November. July and August are the peak, with the highest prices; May, June, September and October bring warm water, a steady afternoon breeze and prices below the peak. October is still warm and noticeably cheaper than summer; April and November are cooler but the cheapest.
Can I charter a yacht in Turkey with a skipper or crew?
Yes. Almost every boat in the selection can be taken with a hired skipper, and a cook or hostess can be added on request. The crew is paid by the day on top of the boat price, and their food on board is on you. Without a skipper's licence and a VHF certificate, a skipper is mandatory. The RYC manager books the crew together with the boat.
Which one-week route should I pick in Turkey?
One-week routes in Turkey, planned day by day: “Marmaris — Datça”, 7 days, about 100 nautical miles; “Marmaris — Knidos”, 7 days, about 145 nautical miles; “Marmaris — Bozukkale”, 7 days, about 110 nautical miles; “Göcek — Dalyan”, 7 days, about 95 nautical miles; “Fethiye — Kekova”, 8 days, about 175 nautical miles. Each route page has the legs, miles and overnight stops.
How far ahead should I book?
In the Mediterranean (Turkey, Greece, Croatia), you can catch hot deals 2–6 weeks ahead. For the Caribbean, the Seychelles and other exotic destinations, book early, 4–8 months ahead: fleets there are smaller and last-minute discounts almost never come up.
What's included in the boat price?
Just the boat, for a week. Usually paid separately: transit log and final cleaning, fuel, marina fees, the security deposit (or deposit insurance), a skipper, cook and hostess if you need them, and extras (SUP board, on-board Wi-Fi, coffee machine, child safety netting).
Do I need a licence to charter a yacht?
For a bareboat charter (no skipper or crew provided), yes: a skipper's licence and, as a rule, a VHF radio certificate. Without a licence, we add a skipper, paid separately from the boat price.
Why do all charters run Saturday to Saturday?
99% of charter fleets worldwide work this way: the boat comes back on Friday evening and goes out to the next crew on Saturday morning. Other changeover days are possible in low season, by arrangement. In some destinations (the Caribbean, Cuba, France) you can add days beyond the week: +1, 2, 3 or 4 days.
What is the security deposit and how is it paid?
The security deposit is your insurance excess in case of damage, usually €1,000–8,000. It is taken at the base at check-in on a credit card issued outside Russia: charter companies don't accept Russian cards or debit cards. With a hired skipper the deposit terms may be different, and not every charter company accepts a cash deposit or deposit insurance: check with the manager.

You may cite the figures on this page with a link to it; every month and country is in the CSV and on the Prices page.
